从文化角度看英汉翻译中词义的确定

摘　　要：翻译作为人类两种不同语言之间的转换,是人类沟通和交流过程中不可避免的一项活动。由于语言与文化之间的相互依赖关系,英汉两种语言在词义确定方面都会受到一定的影响。文化的相似或相同,词义确定需要更多地考虑语境和搭配;文化的差异,则应更多地分析两者之间的不同思维。Translation as a transfer between two different kinds of languages, can not be avoided in human be-ing’ s communication and exchange. Because of the dependence of language and culture, cultural factor must be taken into consideration in the process of English-Chinese Translation. Therefore, the difference and the similari-ty of different cultures all must have certain effect on the translation of lexicons. With cultural similarities, con-text and collocation should be considered; as for the differences, different thinking patterns should be analyzed.
