摘　　要：词汇是概念载体,词汇构成的语句必是概念集合体;词汇有语义上下义关联,概念有逻辑属种层级结构,属种层级有狭义逻辑区分和广义语用特征。词汇常在语句偏离字典意义,承载语句随机概念意义,但与语句整体逻辑指向一致,可依概念层级上调、下调或左右向侧移求同方式,提高科技英语词汇翻译的准确度。Words are concept carriers while a sentence is a joint of logic concepts as well as words. Words em- brace semantic superordinates and hyponyms while concepts involve logic genus and species, which bear micro logic and macro pragmatic meanings. Words deviating from their dictionary meanings are entitled to casual concepts. So defining word concept is up to the total sentence logic contents by modifications of chunking up, chunking down and chunking sideways to the right or to the left of the same concepts, thus raising accuracy of EST words translation.
