摘　　要：本文以《汉英词典》(第三版)中的A字部为例,从词典学和翻译学两个角度指出了该词典中存在的一些翻译问题,并提出了修改建议。文章认为,合格的双语词典翻译者应该既深愔译事,又通晓词典学常识。Taking the content under letter A as examples,this paper reviews the translations in A Chinese-English Dictionary(3rd Edition) from the perspective of lexicography and translation studies,pointing out the inadequacies and putting forward suggestions for improvement.It holds that a qualified translator of bilingual dictionary entries and examples should be versed both in translation practice and in lexicography.
