摘 要:对比分析中西方饮食文化及其菜肴的命名,发现它们之间的异同,尤其是"异",可以为中式菜肴的英译奠定理论基础。研究中西方饮食文化的差异,梳理各种中式菜肴名称,探讨其英译策略,有助于中式菜肴名英译的规范和统一,也有助于语言和文化的对外传播。准确的菜肴译名可以帮助外国客人既能品尝到我国菜肴的独特风味,又能领略到中华民族的文化内涵。A contrastive analysis is made on the dietetic intention and dish naming of China and Western countries to find out the similarities and differences of their naming methods,especially the differences,which will lay a theoret-ical foundation for the translation of Chinese dishes into English.The paper analyzes the differences of the dietetic culture in China and Western counties,organizes the different and various names of Chinese dishes,and suggests the translation strategies to them.The study will help realize the standardization and agreement of the English version of the Chinese dish names and the spreading of the Chinese language and culture to other countries.The exact trans-lation of Chinese dish names into English will help the foreign visitors enjoy the special flavor in the dainty Chinese dishes and appreciate the connotations in the Chinese culture as well.
