摘　　要："白"多项修辞义主要从"日光"、"帛"、"曰"分别派生而来,它们的形成与民族文化、联想、认知及修辞手法等有密切联系。"白"在汉语里存在着两种极端对立的修辞义且用于消极义项的明显高于积极义项。The rhetorical meanings of the word ＂white＂ have been derived from ＂ sunlight＂,＂silk＂ and ＂saying＂,whose formations are closely related with the national culture,association,recognition and other rhetorical means. There exist two totally opposite rhetorical meanings in the Chinese word ＂white＂,whose uses are obviously more in negative senses than in positive ones.
