摘 要:Everyone comes into the world through parents. Traditional Chinese ethics emphasize the responsibility of offspring to repay kindness to their parents, as Chinese parents try their best to sustain their families. However, as modem values of independent well-being become more popular in Asian countries, there emerges an alarming ethics-driven moral curriculum in all sectors of education. This paper presents students' ethical reflections, as inspired by the Tzu Chi Humanities components at the Tzu Chi College of Technology, and discusses how ethical sentiments nurture a life value of practicing good deeds to benefit others.
