“实事求是”校训论析--以湖南大学为例

摘　　要："实事求是"是马克思主义的精髓和灵魂,也是我国大学校训使用的高频词语。湖南大学"实事求是"校训,继承了岳麓书院务实求是的教育传统,彰显了湖湘文化经世致用的核心特质,接引了西方文明讲求实证的科学精神,适应了党建设社会主义大学的根本要求,其特质和内涵在学校建设发展进程中不断丰富和提升,成为湖南大学最根本的文化基因。这一校训与中国优秀传统文化及时代精神高度契合,是培育和践行社会主义核心价值观的生动载体。当前大学校训文化建设和校训教育活动,应该深入挖掘文化内涵,切实增强育人功能,始终坚持特色引领,不断赋予时代精神。Seeking Truth from Facts, the essence and soul of Marxism, is most frequently used in university mottos of China. As the motto of Hunan University, it inherits the practical educational tradition of Yuelu Academy, manifests the core pragmatic nature of the Hunan Culture, integrates with western evidence-based scientific spirit and suits the basic requirements of the Communist Party of China for the construction of universities in the new era. The quality and content of this motto have been constantly enriched and sublimed in the course of the construction and development of Hunan University, and have become the fundamental cultural gene of the university. This motto is highly compatible with fine traditional Chinese culture and our contemporary spirit, and serves as a graphic carrier in the cultivation and practice of core socialist values. Our current university motto construction and education should focus on the exploitation of their cultural implications in an effort to enhance their educational function. We snould bring their guiding nature into full play and give them new contemporary spirit.
