《红高梁家族》中方言词汇的英译思考

摘　　要：随着我国综合国力的显著提高以及中西文化交流的日益加深，一些现当代优秀小说作品的英译本已经问世。2012年我国著名作家莫言一举获得了诺贝尔文学奖，其英译版本对其获奖发挥了重大作用。以葛浩文《红高梁家族》的英译版本为基础，探讨其对方言词的翻译。从整体上看，译者采用借用英语俗语，异化翻译方言词汇，利用自造词，以及标准英语释义的方法，很大程度上再现了高密方言的艺术功效。但译文中也存在误译、漏译方言词的问题，这种情况削弱了原文的艺术效果。With the dramatic enhancement of overall national strength and the increasing interaction between Chinese and western cultures, some English versions of Chinese contemporary novels have come out. Mo Yan was awarded the ＂Nobel Prize in Literature＂ in 2012, and the English versions of his works had played an essential part. Based on Howard Goldb- latt＇ s translation of Red Sorghum, this paper probes into his translation method of dialects, and it is found on the whole that, Howard Goldblatt manages to reveal the artistic function of Gao Mi dialect by virtue of English colloquialisms, coin words, standard English and foreignizing translation of dialects to a great extent, but the mistranslation and omission in translation of dialects has weakened the artistic merits of the novel.
