摘 要:表面上看,在中国的概念系统中,"势"并不占有核心的位置。然而,在涉及具体的文化领域中,却常常可见以"势"作为关键的理论概念的例子。"势"在艺术、政治与军事等中国文化的不同向度中的意涵,表达了一个相似的意义结构,这个结构就是以周易为基础的哲学思维。"势"的概念由阴阳之气肇,由内在之力生,这是"势"的基础;由时间之天机、空间之奇正而成,这是"势"的条件;其存变通之理,显刚健之威,这是"势"的功效。在这一整体的意义诠释系统中,处处与周易的哲学思维有着密切的联系。Shi( "势" ) relatively takes unimportant role in in the core system of concepts in Chinese philosophy. However, when it comes to the cultural theory, it is frequently shown as a significant concept, which indicates a common structure of meaning. By analyzing various expressions of shi in different cultural field, including art, politics and military, it is clearly that the use of the concept derive from Chinese philosophy in Book of Changes. The concept shi originated fromjin andjang, generates from energy of life and accomplishes from universal chance and changing circumstances, hence, its efficacy shows the principles of both changes and irreversibility, which asks one to accommodate himself to circumstances. The whole interpretive system rooted in Books of Changes constitutes the structure of meaning in shi.
