摘　　要：翻译规范是制约译者行为的关键因素。模因论是一种基于新达尔文主义进化论观点研究文化进化的理论。Chesterman结合模因论研究了翻译规范。他提出的翻译规范与Toury、Hermans以及Nord的翻译规范既有相似性,又有差异性,呈现一种扬弃的关系。本研究从模因论出发,重新审视西方翻译规范研究,以期对翻译规范研究和中国翻译规范构建提供一点启示。Translation norms are key factors governing translational actions,and Memetics is a new theory of cultural evolution and transmission based on neo-Darwinism. Chesterman conducted a detailed study of translation norms by incorporating the fruits of Memetics,and his translation norms share similarities as well as differences with the translation norms of Toury,Hermans and Nord. The developmental relationship and evolutionary clue among these theories can be detected. This paper attempts to rethink Western translation norms from the perspective of Memetics in the hope of shedding some light on the study of translation norms and the construction of Chinese translation norms.
