摘 要:本文试图探索CEO支持信息化的动因,填补以往研究的缺口。通过对15家企业的调查发现,影响CEO支持信息化的动因可归纳为基本的激发条件(支持动力)和保障性条件(促进机制)。首先,CEO感知的"外部环境压力"、"组织发展需求"和以往"企业的信息化绩效"共同形成CEO开展信息化的工作需求,形成激发CEO支持信息化的基本条件,也是CEO支持的基本动力;其次,CEO的"资源管理自由度"和对"信息化理解水平"是实现CEO支持的保障性条件。亦即,一个组织只有同时具备充分的激发条件和高水平的保障条件时,才能表现出高水平的CEO支持。本文把影响CEO支持信息化的动因,根据其作用机理区分为激发性和保障性条件,解释了为什么有些企业的CEO表现出高水平的支持而有些却很缺乏支持,能有效预测不同情境下的CEO支持。本文的研究结论可扩展高管支持信息化的理论,也对实践具有指导意义。Many studies have focused on interpreting the relationship between top management support(TMS) and IS success, but few studies explore how to enhance TMS. To date, we don't know why some top management have high level of support for IS, but some withhold support. CEO is most powerful and most influential individual within members of top management team, and the role of his or her support for information systems(IS) on IS success is significant. This study attempts to explore what are the antecedents of CEO support for IS, to fill the gap which prior studies have lack of understanding of enables of CEO support. Through investigating 15 organizations, we find that there are two types of conditions influencing the level of CEO support: triggers and enables. Triggers come from "Perceived Job Demand of Information Technology", enables include CEO's "Managerial discretion of Resources" and "Understanding of Information Technology". This study developed a comprehensive theoretical model of triggering and enabling CEO support for IS, which contributes to the theory of top management support, and which has guidance on practitioners.
