摘  要:萧公弼是继王国维、梁启超、蔡元培等学者之后,又一位为中国的美学做出了贡献的学者,是"美学在中国"的奠基人之一。中西参证、自下而上、史论结合、以佛释美是萧公弼使用的主要的美学研究方法,这些方法对后世中国美学研究产生了较大影响。他对两千多年西方美学史的梳理,对审美活动现实性的重视,借用佛教理论阐释审美现象、揭示审美活动的规律,值得中国后世学者的重视与借鉴。As a successor of WANG Guo-wei, LIANG Qi-chao and CAI Yuan-pei, XIAO Gong-bi, with unique contributions to Chinese aesthetics, is among the founders of China’ s aesthetics. Integrating Chinese and Western thoughts, to bottom up, combination of theory and history as well as interpretation of aesthetics from Buddhism, which have great impact on the later aesthetic research in China, are the main aesthetic research methods used in XIAO’ s Introduction to Aesthetics. Later Chinese Scholars in aesthetics respect and can learn from his combing of western aesthetic history of over 2,000 years, his emphasis on the reality of aesthetic activities and his application of Buddhism to illustrate aesthetic phe-nomena and to reveal the rules of aesthetic activities.
