论英语文学作品的书名汉译策略——以书名My Family and Other Animal的汉译为例

摘　　要：书名翻译的好坏决定着该书能否引起译入语国家的读者注意。以英国著名作家杰洛德·杜瑞尔的自传散文My Family and Other Animals的书名翻译的实际情形为例,指出只有准确把握原名的涵指意义,揭示其中蕴含的作品主题思想,并且同时照顾译入语国家读者的审美习惯,才能做到成功译介优秀的外国文学作品。Book titles＇ translation determines whether the book will be noticed by the readers of the target language or not. The essay takes the translation of the book titled My Family and Other Animals, written by the famous English writer Gerald Durrel to point out that it is necessary to grasp the exact meaning of the title, reveal the theme of the literary work and take care of the asethetic habits of the readers of the target language in a successful translation of book titles.
