英汉语中“鱼”的概念隐喻对比

摘　　要：从认知语言学角度出发,对英汉语中"鱼"的概念隐喻,如"鱼"与水的文化隐喻、"鱼"的体态特征的文化隐喻、"鱼"的社会功能的文化隐喻进行对比分析。提出英语表现出独具特色的海洋文化,英语民族思维的基本特征是其个体自由性;而汉语却体现出陆地文明的显著特征,汉民族的思维模式趋向整体化。This paper makes a comparison of the conceptual metaphor of fish in English and Chinese from the viewpoint of cognitive linguistics and intends to inquire into the national characteristics behind the words. This paper points out that there is an oceanic culture in English and a mainland culture in Chinese; the basic thinking characteristic of the English- speaking people is its individual freedom while the Han nationality is inclined to integrative thinking.
