周瘦鹃的西方“哀情十记”:周氏《心弦》编译考论

摘　　要：周瘦鹃是鸳鸯蝴蝶派的核心作家,以著译哀情小说闻名,世称"哀情巨子"。周氏编译的《心弦》收录西方小说十篇,却鲜有相关论述。经考证,作为"我们的情侣"丛书之一的《心弦》,选择编译的十篇小说均为经典之作,其主题与周瘦鹃的"哀情"文学观密切相关。从《焚兰记》、《赤书记》与《重光记》的译本分析可以发现,周瘦鹃的悲情初恋、惨情叙事与言情模式等人生体验与文学理念融汇到《心弦》的编译之中,透露出译者的"哀情"情怀。对《心弦》编译的考证与论述,既可以补充文学编译史的疏漏,又可以丰富周瘦鹃"著、译、编"的全方位研究。Zhou Shoujuan is one of the leading writers of the ＂.Mandarin Duck and Butterfly School＂ and famous for his sentimental novels, well known as ＂Sentimental Giant＂. His Heartstrings, including ten western novels, has not been extensively discussed yet. According to our research, Heartstrings, one of the series of ＂Our Lovers＂, has chosen the classical writings with their themes closely related to Zhou＇s ＂Sentimental＂ literary views. From the a- nalysis of the translated Clarissa Harlowe, The Scarlet Letter and Jane Eyre, it can be concluded that Zhou＇s life experience and literary views, such as miserable first love, deplorable narration and romantic model, have been to- tally merged into Heartstrings. This paper can not only supplement the oversight in literary history, but also enrich the all-around study of Zhou＇s creation, translation and edition.
