论章学诚的“史意”说

摘　　要：中国传统中,"意"有"意义"和"意味"之分。基于对言意关系的思考,章学诚将"史意"范畴引入"意味"的新境界,使之指向历史认知中的"默会"维度。以"历史理论或史学观点""历史规律""著史宗旨"等概念去解读"史意",都忽略了这一维度。章学诚的"史意"既指历史研究作为一种技艺活包含着无法用语言穷尽的成分,更指"史著的风格"。"章言史意"展示了一种和现行研究范式大异其趣的进路,呈现了中国传统史学认识论中未被充分注意的一面。In consideration of language and thinking,Zhang Xuecheng developed the concept of Shiyi （ ＂史意＂ ）, which traditionally means historical meaning, into a new category of sense of historiography： Shiyi presented by him must be interpreted as tacit knowledge, which mostly implicated ＂overall taste on historical works＂, rather than ＂historical theories or views of history＂. He found two conflicting styles in Chinese Classics and History Literary Works, then tracked the two sides in the history of historiography, finally, constructed a integrated historical narrative with ever-changing Yi. His explanation indicated a way other than popular research paradigms, and show some ignored aspects of the Chinese traditional historical historiography.
