摘　　要：元数据在描述信息领域发挥着愈来愈重要的作用,但大量有价值的元数据因缺乏有效监护而在无形中流失,元数据监护服务亟需开展。文章在总结元数据研究成果的基础上,分析科研产出元数据监护的可行性与必要性,提出开展科研产出元数据监护服务,介绍暨南大学图书馆自行开发的科研产出元数据监护系统,为高校科研产出元数据的管理与应用提供参考。Although metadata have been playing an increasing important role in information describing, a great deal of metadata has been virtually lost without effective curation, hence metadata curation is urgently needed. On the basis of summarizing up the existing studies on metadata, this paper analyzes the necessity and feasibility of metadata curation, and puts forward metadata curation service of scientific research output. The authors introduce a metadata curation system for scientific research output developed by Jinan University Library in order to provide reference for the management and application of metadata curation, thus improving the visibility of library in university management.
