摘　　要：选修课设置的本意是为了让学生在教学计划规定范围内,按照毕业时学分的要求自主选择学习课程、任课教师、上课时间,通过选修课完善专业知识体系,拓宽知识面。学生在课程学习上拥有部分学习自主权,可以根据个人的兴趣和爱好充分发挥自身的个性,从而真正得到全面的发展。然而选修课选而不修的现象在高校普遍存在,尤其面对边消警多专业多学科的复杂教学环境,如何能更好地发挥选修课的作用,提高选修课的课堂教学质量都是有待探讨的问题。本文就武警院校开展的全院选修课"Internet应用"的教学情况展开论述几点个人的思考。The arrangement of elective courses is intended to allow students to autonomously choose learning courses, teachers, class time in the range of teaching plan,according to the credit requirement. Elective courses can improve professional knowledge system, broaden their knowledge.Through the students＇ autonomy of selecting courses according to the personal interest and love, they are able to get all-round development. About elective courses,the phenomenon of ＂choosing but not learning＂ generally exists in colleges and universities.In the three majors： frontier defense, fire control, security guards, especially in the face of complex teaching environment, how to better play the role of elective courses and how to improve the quality of classroom teaching are issues needing to be explored.In this paper, some personal thoughts are discussed about the teaching situation of the elective course of ＂Internet Application＂.
