摘　　要：文章利用问卷、测试和访谈相结合的方法对边远少数民族地区高校学生使用手机词典的现状进行调查,探寻手机词典使用的特点,并对比英语专业和非英语专业学生手机词典使用策略的差异。通过调查发现,学生使用手机词典的频率最高,但对手机词典的功能了解甚少,策略使用频度不高,词典使用能力不佳。建议教师在课堂上引导学生正确使用手机词典,改善词典使用效果,提高学生自主学习能力。Based on questionnaires,tests and interviews,this paper offers a general picture of mobile-phone dictionary use by university students in China's remote minority regions,with a view to exploring the features of mobile-phone dictionary use and detecting the differences between the strategies for mobile-phone dictionary use by English and non-English majors. The survey shows that mobile-phone dictionaries enjoy the highest frequency of use but the user has inadequate dictionary-using skills,due to his insufficient knowledge of such dictionaries and inappropriate use strategies. It is suggested that teachers should improve students' dictionary use skills and autonomous learning ability by teaching the proper use of these dictionaries at class.
