摘　　要：中国近代教育家、大学校长马君武毕生爱国,以培养社会建设人才、救国强国为大学教育目的。他认为一个优秀的民族必须要具备三种要素:一是道德,二是知识,三是身体。体育除了练成健康身体外,还寓有养成守法和礼让的精神。大学体育教育的目的包括锻炼强健的身体、训练战斗的本领和养成团体生活的习惯。要通过创建体育教育机构,配备专职教师;建设体育场地,添置体育设备;积极倡导体育运动,融合体育军训,努力保障大学体育的实施,促进学生的身体健康。Ma Junwu,an university president,an educator in the modem Chinese history and also a lifelong patriot who thought that the purpose of university education is to foster talents for social construction and the revitalization of China. He believed that a good nation needs to have tlu-ee dements： morality,knowledge and physical fitness. In addition to exercising body, physical education contains the spirit of obeying the law and comity. The propose of university physical education includes strengthening body, training combat skills and developing community living habits. He created sports education institutions and equipped them with specialized teachers. He constructed a lot of sports venues and purchased sports equipment. He actively advocated sports combined with training to ensure the implementation of physical education in the uni- versity and the students＇ physicai health.
