摘　　要：建构主义理论认为学习的过程应该是学习者作为学习活动的主体主动建构知识意义的过程。成人教育学员因其身份的特殊性,有很多与普通高校大学生不同的特点,通过对成人教育学员英语学习情况的调查,分析他们学习英语的动机、困境及自主学习的能力,从三个方面提出适合成人教育英语教学的方法。Constructivism believes that learning process should be the process taking learners as the subject of activities to construct knowledge actively. Adult students have many different characteristics with general college students because of their special status. By investigating the adults English learning situation , this article analyzes their motivation and difficulties in learning English and their abilities of independent learning while proposes suitable methods on teaching adults English from three aspects.
