摘 要:针对当前轮机英语教学局限于科普性概念介绍、教学手段单一、缺乏信息可视化学习工具、难以满足学习者对学习情境的构建需求的现状,提出应用虚拟现实技术,对船舶轮机主要设备进行三维建模和优化,并结合力反馈技术实现对船舶轮机设备的虚拟漫游操作,最终设计并开发了一套面向轮机英语教学的虚拟现实仿真与操控系统,支持三维交互,学习者可在身临其境中掌握轮机英语,旨在达到增加学习过程中的沉浸感和娱乐感、降低学习者的认知负荷,可提高轮机英语教学质量。Marine engineering English teaching is confined to concept introduction, and its teaching method is quite simplified. The lack of relevant information visualization learning tools makes it hard to meet learners' require- ments of constructing marine engineering learning environment. Therefore, we constructed and optimized three di- mensional marine engine models based on virtual reality technology, applied force feedback technology to realize the virtual operations on marine engine equipments, and eventually designed and developed a marine engine simulation system for marine engineering English teaching and examinations. This system supports three dimensioned interac- tions and gesture interactions, bringing learners into simulated marine engineering English learning environment with immersed sense. This study aims at augmenting learners' sense of entertainment and immerse, reducing their cogni- tive load during learning process, and improving the teaching quality of marine engineering English.
