摘 要:社科类学位论文以实证研究为主,如何呈现研究方法与结果是研究生学术写作的一个难点。本文考察了英语专业应用语言学方向硕、博士研究生学位论文实证部分的语步结构特征。分析发现,尽管随研究生学历的提高,语步的完整性不断增强,但是也存在一些问题,主要包括硕、博论文欠缺语步来论证数据统计方法的有效性,也缺乏对研究结果进行评价,而硕士论文还欠缺语步对研究设计进行概括性陈述。这些发现对社科类学术写作教学具有一定的启示。Social science graduation theses are generally based on empirical studies. It poses a considerable challenge for graduate students to present their research methodology and findings in their thesis writing. The present study investigates the move structures in the empirical part of MA and PhD theses by English majors in applied linguistics. The analysis shows certain problems despite of the fact that the move structures become more complete with the increase of education experience, These problems include that MA and PhD theses lack moves for justifying the validity of data analysis and evaluating research findings,and that MA theses lack a move for synthesizing research design. The result has some implications for the teaching of academic writing in social science empirical research.
