摘 要:中等教育与高等教育的衔接是各国教育系统中发展最为曲折、形态最为复杂的问题,同时也是影响与意义最大的环节。美国中等教育与高等教育的衔接具有鲜明特色。在历史演进维度上,美国中等教育与高等教育的衔接始于殖民地时期,二战后形成稳定的衔接机制;在制度衔接的维度上,美国中等教育与高等教育的衔接包括要素的衔接与运作机制的衔接;在学生发展衔接的维度上,美国高中和高校形成了促进学生顺利完成从高中到大学过渡的多种机制。In the education systems worldwide, the links between secondary and tertia- ry education has gone through a most tortuous development path and has the most complex system and the greatest significance. The links between secondary and tertiary education of America shows distinctive characteristics. In the perspective of historical evolution, the links between secondary and tertiary education of America would be traced back to the colo- nial period and achieved stable cohesive mechanism after World War II. In the perspective of system connection, the links between secondary and tertiary education in the U.S. is com- posed of elements and operation mechanism of cohesion. In the perspective of student devel- opment, the high schools and colleges and universities have designed a variety of mecha- nisms to promote students' transition from high school to college.
