摘　　要：文章主要从发展的视角探索职场英语在大学英语教育中的定位问题。职场英语教育是顺应了当前学生的语言基础、社会发展,以及社会人才规划等需求下的必然结果;职场英语可视为基础英语和专业英语之间的过渡或衔接课程,同时,这门课程可以在人文理性和工具理性的指导下进行融合性教学,以适应中国社会多方面的转型需要。The article explores the positioning of English in professional contexts for college English education from a per- spective of development. The teaching of English in professional contexts is an inevitable result of many needs, which is in line with students＇ language level, social development, social talents planning, etc. It can be regarded as transitional course or as a bridging course between basic English and professional English. Meanwhile, this course can be taught under the guideline of humanistic rea- son and instrumental reason in order to meet social transformation needs in China.
