摘　　要：英语全球化背景给高校英语专业办学带来了机遇和挑战,迎接挑战化解困境的办法是改革。西部地方高校基于区域经济劣势和地理优势因素的综合考虑,努力寻求与南亚高校合作办学的新思路,这是探索世界英语视阈下高校英语专业改革的新途径,亦是对国家"一带一路"发展战略号召的积极响应,具有应用研究价值和理论建构意义。English globalization has brought opportunities as well as challenges to English majors of colleges and universities, and the way to meet the challenges is to reform. It is a new approach to the reform of English majors that local universities in West China are trying to have joint programs of English majors with South Asian universities based on their regional economic weakness and geographical advantage. It is also a positive response to the national strategy of ＂One Belt and One Road＂and has research value and practical significance.
