摘 要:以1829名非英语专业本科生的CET4成绩为样本,运用SPSS软件先对总体数据样本进行描述性分析验证所采集数据样本的有效性,然后对理工和文史类学生成绩进行对比,采用均值、标准差和相关分析法、多元线性回归分析法进行实证性研究。研究结果表明:文史类学生在总分和听力、写作、阅读理解三个单项成绩上均优于理工类学生,并且阅读理解对两类学生成绩的影响最大,听力次之,而听力对理工类学生的影响更为显著,写作对两类学生总分的影响不显著。该研究结果对大学英语教学改革具有现实意义和应用价值,对开展大学英语实证研究有借鉴意义。Based on 1829 non-English major undergraduates CET4 scores samples, the paper verifies the validity of the collected data samples by using SPSS software to make a descriptive analysis of the overall data samples, and then compares the scores of students be- tween Science and Technology & Liberal Arts to carry on the empirical research by using the mean, standard deviation, correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis method. The results show that students of Liberal Arts are better than those of Science and Technology not only in the total score but also in the three individual scores including listening, writing, reading comprehension. And for the two types of students, the influence of reading comprehension is the biggest, then listening. Yet, the influence of listening to students of science and technology is more significant, and as for influence of writing, it is insignificant for both types of students. The research re- sult not only has practical significance and application value to the University English teaching reform bot also has the model significance to carry out empirical research of University English.
