摘　　要：华兹生是美国汉学界从事汉诗英译的代表人物之一,也是当代英译中国古诗最多的翻译家。其译介策略充分考虑了译诗的可接受性,使得译诗同时具备了学术性和可读性,成就了译本的经典性、权威性和流传性,从而显著提升了中国古诗的世界文学地位。作为中国文化外译史上的有效经典个案,华兹生的汉诗英译对中国当下的文化"走出去"战略极具战术上的启迪意义。Burton Watson is one of the representatives of sinologist-cum-translators in the US as well as the most productive contemporary translator in translating Chinese poetry into English. In his translation, the translation strategy takes translation acceptability into full consideration, thus making the translation academic and readable. This also greatly contributes to making the translation classic, authoritative and widely-disseminated, thereby significantly enhancing the status of Chinese poetry in the realm of world literature. As a classic case of effective reception of translation in the history of Chinese culture going global, Burton Watson＇ s translation of classical Chinese literature can provide great tactical inspiration for the current Chinese Culture Going Global Strategy.
