摘 要:在混合方法的讨论中,三角测量的意义一直局限在寻找量化和质化结果的一致性上。在当下的混合方法研究实践当中,三角测量主要表现为以质化的资料来加强量化的结果,从而使量化结果更加有效。然而,建构主义视角下的混合方法的方法论可以建立在一种新的三角测量的思想之上,即研究问题的不同角度之间的三角测量。通过对几个语言教学实证研究的案例分析,本文认为,基于这种三角测量思想的混合方法的意义在于对研究对象更全面的、更丰富的认识和理解。In the research on mixed methods, triangulation has been limited to looking for convergence between quantitative and qualitative results. In the inquiries adop- ting mixed methods, triangulation has been mostly used as checking qualitative against quantitative findings for the purpose of validating the latter. However, from the con- structivist point of view, divergence is more important than convergence, and the real value of research lies in how to explain this phenomenon. It is argued in this paper that the methodology of mixed methods can be based on a new notion of triangulation,i, e. a triangulation of differ- ent perspectives on the research issue. After examining of a few empirical studies in language teaching using mixed methods, this paper suggests that mixed methods research based on this notion of triangulation gives a fuller and more informative picture of what is being researched.
