The Effects of Different Symbols of Numerical Information on the Eye Movements of Hearing-Impaired Persons

摘  要:实验通过眼动技术考察听障人群在数量大小比较任务中对四种类型符号数量表征的特点,结果表明:(1)听障人群对阿拉伯数字、中文数字加工效率低于健听人群,对手语数字具有加工优势,两组被试对点阵加工并无差异;(2)听障人群对阿拉伯数字执行眼跳任务时产生的SNARC效应与健听人无差异,对点阵和中文数字产生的SNARC效应较小,而健听人对手语数字未产生该效应。最后结合加工程度、认知控制等原因对结果进行讨论,认为听障人群的数量空间表征能力受多种因素制约落后于健听人群。This study, by means of eye movement, aims to probe into four symbols of numerical representa- tion from heating-impaired persons in the task of comparing numbers. The results show the following: (1) The hearing-impaired participants spent more time processing Arabic numerals and Chinese numerical words than the normal-hearing participants, but less time processing Chinese sign language numerals; the two groups showed no differenee in processing the dot matrix; and (2) tile hearing-impaired participants showed a smaller SNARC eft^ct in the task of processing the dot matrix and Chinese numerical wolds, whereas the nomlal-hearing participants showed no SNARC effect in processing Chinese sign language numerals. Based on the levels of processing and the ability in cognitive control, the authors conclude that hearing-impaired persons have more defects due to various factors in their spatial representation of numbers.
