摘　　要：萨保一官存在于北朝、隋唐时期。本文通过对古文献、墓志等资料中有关萨保的记载,论述其官阶和基本的社会职能,而重点则是从目前发现的图像学资料中关于萨保在内政、外交等方面的内容,对其社会职能做进一步的研究与讨论,认为中央政府立足于以胡制胡,而萨保府内部则采取高度自治的管理方式。The official position Sabao？exi sted in the Northern Dy nasties and the Sui and Tang Dynasties. Through reviewing the records about the sabao in the historic literatures and epitaphs, this paper elucidated the official rank and basic social functions ofsabao, but the focus of this paper is further discussing the social functions of sabao with the references of the iconographical materials related to the internal and diplomatic affairs in which sabao were involved. This paper suggests that the central government＇s intention was to rule the outsiders by the outsiders, but within the offices of the sabao, autonomous management of high degree was applied.
