摘　　要：理学的西传得益于对"理"概念的译介。20世纪英语世界对中国哲学术语的译释日益重视。卜道成、德克·卜德、陈荣捷、吴怡、成中英、葛瑞汉等著名学者的著作中都或多或少涉及到"理"的翻译与诠释,观点有分岐与争辩,也有相互借鉴,从中可以管见"理"概念英译的实践形式、基本面相以及西方理解与接受中国哲学核心概念的思想进路。The westwards spread of Neo-Confucianism results from the translation of the concept ＂Li＂. With the increasing attention of the English-speaking world to the core concepts of Chinese philosophy in the 20＇h century, J. P. Bruce, Wing-tist Chan, Yi Wu, Chung-ying Cheng, A. C. Graham, and many other well-known scholars have discussed the translation and explanation of ＂Li＂ in their books. They have divided views but also learned from each other, in which we gain a glimpse of the basic practice forms and basic features about the English translation of the concept ＇ Li＂ and the developing path of the understanding and accepting of the core concepts of Chinese philosophy in the Western world.
