摘　　要：项目教学法不仅重视知识的传授,更重视学生潜能的开发和知识的应用。《英语短篇小说赏析》作为一门英语专业选修课,很大程度上弥补了英美文学必修课程所带来的不足,让学生着手文本,在文本的分析中把握文学的基本问题。将项目教学法运用在《英语短篇小说赏析》中,将很大程度上提高学生掌握文学基本知识和跨文化体验的能力。Project Based Learning（PBL）not only focuses on imparting knowledge, but also on students＇ potential development and application of knowledge. To a large extent, Appreciation of English Short Stories, a selective course of English Majors, makes up for the deficiency caused by the compulsory course of English and American Literature, and lets students grasp the basic concepts of literature in the analysis of texts. The application of PBL in the course of Appreciation of English Short Stories will surely improve students＇ competence of mastering the basic knowledge of literature and cross-culture awareness.
