从功能语法角度解析罗伯特·弗罗斯特《补墙》一诗

摘　　要：《补墙》是美国诗人罗伯特·弗罗斯特最著名的诗篇之一。诗人讲述了新英格兰农民在每年春天都要补墙的传统,反映了人们自我隔离的一种心态,提出了对谚语"高墙出睦邻"的质疑,体现了诗人对传统以及人们对传统的态度的一种反思,讽刺了那些顽固守旧、盲目遵循旧传统的人。以功能语法以及马丁的评价系统为分析框架,从概念意义、人际意义、语篇意义三个角度进行分析,探索系统功能语言学在诗歌研究中的应用性。Mending Wall is one of the most famous poems written by American poet Robert Frost. The poem tells New England farmers＇ tradition of mending wall, reflects the people＇s mentality of self isolation, and proposes question to the proverb ＂good neighbor- liness out of walls＂, embodying the poet and people＇s reflection on the tradition and satirizing those stubborn and conservative people who blindly follow the old tradition. Based on the functional grammar and Martin＇s appraisal theory as analysis framework, this paper explores applicability of systemic functional linguistics in poetry study from three perspectives ： concept meaning, interpersonal meaning and textual meaning in order to explore the application of system-functional linguistics in poetry research.
