摘　　要："述"是严译《天演论》达旨术最重要的变通策略之一,述的单位包括句、句群、段等,以句和句群为多,述的方法分概括提炼、撮其大意、直叙原意、融合等。严译的述具有达原文之旨、避免繁琐、解释内涵、显豁原意、增强生动性等功用。＂Reviewing＂ is one of the most important strategies of translation variation employed by Yan Fu in translating Evolution and Ethics. The units of ＂reviewing＂ include sentence, sentence group and paragraph, with a high frequency of ＂reviewing＂ occurrence in sentence and sentence group, and the methods of ＂reviewing＂ cover summarizing ＆ streamlining, absorbing ＆ stringing, direct describing, and combining ＆ fusing. The effects of ＂reviewing＂ are as follows： absorbing the main ideas, avoiding trivial details, explaining the implication, highlighting the meaning, and enhancing the vividness
