摘　　要：为提高化工专业英语课程的教学质量,适应应用型本科院校的教学要求,结合该课程的特点及教学现状和存在问题,提出了对化工专业英语课程的课程设置、教材内容和教学方法等方面进行改革,探索应用型本科院校提高专业英语教学效果的新途径,营造良好的英语学习氛围,促进学生专业英语应用能力水平的提高,对培养符合当代社会需求的应用型技术人才具有积极意义。In order to improve the teaching quality of professional English course for chemical engineering and adapt the teaching requirements in the applied undergraduate college,combining the course＇s characteristics and the current problems in teaching process, a teaching reform was carried out in following areas： curriculum, textbooks and methodology. A new approach for improve the education effect was also discussed. This will create a good learning atmosphere and improve the student＇s levels of English application ability. It is so important to cultivate talents with applicable abilities to meet the demand of the modern society.
