摘　　要：由于我国已将建设创新型国家作为重要战略决策,因此教育系统尤其重视学生创新能力的培养。本文以华南理工大学广州学院为原型,以结构模型设计竞赛为例,从竞赛开展的意义,竞赛的实施及保障机制等方面阐述了学科竞赛对于应用型本科高校学生创新能力的培养的重要性。Since China took building an innovative country as an important strategic decision, the education system has particularly put emphasis on cultivating students＂ innovation ability. Taking Guangzhou College of South China of Technology as the prototype, this paper described the importance of discipline competition for development of students＇ creative ability from the meaning, the implementation and safeguard mechanism of competition.
