摘　　要：本研究依据元认知理论。设计了自我监控能力培训模式，培训学生在英语写作过程中有效地使用自我监控策略。这有助于中国大学英语教师充分认识自我监控能力与大学英语写作的关系。通过展示策略培训模式，提供了大班英语写作课中促进同伴交流和协作的有效方式，有助于启发大学英语教师改进写作教学方法，从而帮助学生提高英语写作能力。The study probes into the relationship between self-monitoring and English writing on the basis of the metacognitive theory. A self-monitoring training model has been proposed to help college students effectively apply self-monitoring strategy to English writing process. The study provides means for facil- itating peer negotiation and collaboration, which might benefit both teachers and students in large-sized classes, promoting students＇ writing proficiency as well.
