Relationship Between Left-behind Junior Middle School Students' Self-esteem and Mental Health as Well as Coping Styles in Rural Areas

摘  要:近年来,留守儿童的心理健康问题引起社会广泛关注,但较少研究涉及到留守儿童的自尊水平对心理健康及其应对方式的影响。研究采用问卷和量表评估留守初中生的自尊结构(外显自尊、内隐自尊)、心理健康水平及其应对方式,发现留守初中生的外显自尊和内隐自尊对心理健康水平及其应对方式存在不同的影响模式。外显自尊和心理健康总体状况及其各个因子、应对方式均存在显著相关,而内隐自尊和心理健康及其应对方式相关关系不显著。拥有高外显/低内隐自尊结构的留守初中生心理健康水平低,而且应对方式更消极,需要更多的关注。The mental health condition of left-behind children has raised extensive concerns in recent years. However, few studies investigated the impact of self-esteem of left-behind children on mental health and coping styles. The research used questionnaires and scales to measure students' self-esteem structure,mental health condition and coping styles. The results turned out that the explicit self-esteem and implicit self-esteem had different impact models on mental health as well as coping styles. There were significant correlations between the explicit self-esteem and the total scores of mental health and its factors,as well as coping styles.However,the implicit self-esteem didn't correlate with mental health and coping styles. Leftbehind junior middle school students with high explicit and low implicit self-esteem had worse mental health conditions and more negative coping styles,and they deserve more attention.
