摘　　要：海外分校是实现高等教育国际化和市场化的重要途径。美国高校海外分校的发展主要经历了萌芽阶段、起步阶段、拓展阶段以及蓬勃发展四个阶段,并呈现出办学模式多元化、课程设置实用与特色兼顾、专兼职教师并存、认证体系严格化与规范化等特点。在未来发展中,美国在充当海外分校输出国的同时,将呈现出输入海外分校的趋势,其资助方式将由全额资助转向联合资助,经营方式将由独立经营转向联合经营,发展目标由注重数量转向质量与数量发展并重。Branch campus is the important way to realize the internationalization and marketization of higher education .It has experienced four stages： budding stage, prelimi- nary stage, expending development and flourish stage. And presents some characteristic, such as diversified school-running mode, curriculum practical and characteristic, full-time and part-time teachers, quality system strictly and procedural. In the future of branch cam- pus, the United States is not just an exporter of overseas branch campuses, but will also in- put some branch campuses , the mode of financing trend to joint funding, management of steering joint venture, pay more attention to the quality of the overseas branch campus.
