摘　　要：为探讨在国家民族危亡时期现代体育对于儿童和国家解放的特殊意义,运用体育学、历史学相关理论,对1927—1937年上海现代儿童体育发展进行回顾分析,结果发现这一时期尽管国家处于危亡之中,但西方现代体育成为上海市民生活的重要内容,现代儿童体育蓬勃发展,儿童广泛参与学校体育和社会体育活动,且贯穿在儿童日常生活中。现代儿童体育既满足了时代需求,也获得了自身发展,为今天儿童体育的发展提供现实启示:儿童体育应尊重儿童成长特性,活动方式应灵活多样,儿童体育反映时代诉求,实现体育和社会发展的良性互动。In order to probe into modern sports＇ special meaning to children and nation liberation in a period when a country/nation was in peril, the authors reviewed and analyzed modern children sports development in Shanghai between 1927 and 1937, and found that although the nation was in peril in this period, western modern sports be-came an important content in the life of citizens in Shanghai, modern children sports were booming, children par-ticipated in school physical education and social sports activities extensively and throughout their daily life. Modern children sports have not only satisfied epochal needs, but also acquired its own development, and provided realistic inspirations to children sports development today; during children sports development, we should respect children growing characteristics, while ways of activities should be flexible and diverse; children sports reflect epochal de-mands, and realize the benign interaction between sports and social development.
