摘　　要：西部高职院校规模与布局直接影响到西部经济社会的协调和可持续发展。十年来,西部高职院校整体规模激增,省际差距较大,向地级市延伸存在着区域不均衡等问题。亟须在规模发展适度、区域布局合理、地市设置取向、特色品牌打造以及办学层次提升等方面着紧用力。The scale and allocation of vocational colleges in western China exert direct influences on the coordinated and sustainable development of economy and society in this region. Over the past ten years, several issues have arisen in the development of western vocational colleges, such as a surge in overall scale, large provincial gap and regional imbalance at the prefecture level. Suggestions for the development of vocational colleges in western China include moderate scale development, reasonable regional layout, prefecture -orientation, brand building, and the enhancement of school level.
