张家界旅游景点公示语英译失误刍议

摘　　要：当前张家界旅游景点公示语英译存在语言、文化、交际等层面的失误,公示语英译需做好这"三维"的转换,有关部门也应加强监管,以减少景点公示语的英译失误,实现其引导、服务及教育的功能,达到其为旅游景点塑造良好形象及有效宣传的目的。Translation errors regarding language,culture,and communication have been found on the public signs in Zhangjiajie,a famous scenic spot in China. To reduce translation errors,translators should pay attention to the relationship among the three dimensions of language,culture,and communication. The department concerned should strengthen its supervision over the ChineseEnglish translation of public signs so that they can better guide and serve the tourists and provide them with accurate information on the scenic spot,as accurate translation of public signs will help improve the image and the publicity of the scenic spot.
