摘　　要：谦虚是美德吗?这个问题在学术界经历了长达30多年的争论。为更好的理解谦虚的概念和内涵,本文系统的回顾了在谦虚概念探讨过程中各个代表性学者的观点,归纳和总结出低估、不高估、平等主义、展示、行为、情境以及阴阳平衡等对谦虚解释的不同视角,从而全面的展示了谦虚的内涵及其与美德的联系。在此基础上,本文为今后谦虚概念以及谦逊领导的研究指明了方向。Is modesty a virtue？ The question has inspired over 30 years of debate among scholars. To have a better understanding of the concept of modesty, this paper reviewed the viewpoints of representative scholars systematically in the argument of modesty. By sorting out seven different accounts of modesty, sueh as underestimation account, non-overestimation account, this paper shows the overall link between the concept of modesty and virtue. Given this understanding, the paper gives directions for future research of the concept of modesty and leader humility.
