摘　　要：本文通过对比分析美国《纽约时报》与中国《环球网》上的英汉科技新闻标题各200条,发现网络科技新闻标题英译汉存在六种主要问题:表意模糊,语义夸大,语义缩小、误用习语、滥用外文、导向低俗。本文提出四种翻译策略:化繁为简、巧用修辞、巧用标点符号及套用读者熟悉的习语。Though a contrastive analysis of 200 English headlines of network news of science and technology taken from the website of New York Times and their Chinese counterparts from the website of Huanqiu, this paper discusses difficulties in translating headlines of network news of science and technology from English to Chinese. They include ambiguous expression, semantic exaggeration, semantic narrowing, misuse of idioms, abuse of foreign languages and use of vulgar expressions. Four kinds of translation strategies are then proposed for reference, including simplification, use of rhetoric devices, opportune use of punctuation marks and idioms.
