韦利与《楚辞》在英语世界的翻译与传播

摘　　要：从历时的角度考察了英国汉学家韦利对《离骚》的译介功绩,其译文在英语世界的传播与影响,并以其翻译的《大招》为例,指出其译文中存在误读误译、删略漏译及随意增衍三大问题,需要后来者从中吸取教训,避免出现类似错误。A historical survey was given for Arthur Waley＇s contributions to the disseminating of Chuci Poems in the English world as well as the influence of his translations and disseminating were analyzed in the paper. On the basis of a textual analysis,it was pointed out that there are three major problems in Waley＇ s English translation Qu Yuan＇s The Great Summons, that is, misreading and mistranslating, omitting and missing,and arbitrary adding. Latter translators should learn a lesson from Waley＇s translation ,and try not to make similar mistakes.
