摘 要:通识教育作为高等教育的重要理论,是在遵循高等教育发展规律的基础上所形成的一种高等教育理念和人才培养模式,对我国高等教育改革具有积极的意义。但是由于我国当代教育改革的滞后性,通识教育还没有发挥其应有的作用,系统阐释通识教育的内涵及其演进过程,不难发现因其既合乎当代社会和未来社会对人才发展的需要,又符合高等教育发展规律,可以同时作为高等教育课程改革的基础和创新人才培养的基础,指导我国高等教育的持续健康发展和高层次人才的健康成长。General education, as an important theory of higher education, is both a kind of higher education idea and a kind of talent training model which is based on the law of higher education development and has positive significance to Chinese high- er education reform.However, general education has not played its due role because of the delay of the education reform in China. By researching systematically on the general connotation education and its evolution process, it is easy to find that the theory of general education should be used to guide the sustained healthy development of Chinese higher education and the healthy growth of high level talents as one of the most important theoretical basis for the reform of curriculum and the cultivation of innovative talents because it can satisfy the needs of the talented person development in both of the contemporary society and the future soci- ety, and is accord with the law of the higher education development at the same time.
