摘　　要：大学英语第二课堂活动在促进大学英语教学中发挥了重要作用。不仅可以为学生提供语言实践的机会,而且能够激发学生英语学习的积极性。无论是从克拉申的语言输入理论还是从《大学英语课程教学要求》以及海军发展的要求而言,第二课堂活动都是我院大学英语教学的必不可少的组成部分。English extra-curriculum activities play a crucial role in promoting the college English teaching. Not only can those activities provide opportunities for the students to apply what they have learnt in practice, but they can motivate the students to learn English more actively. Either from the perspective of Krashen＇s input theory or from the College English Curriculum Requirements and the development of the navy, English extra-curriculum activities are quite significant as part of college English teaching.
