摘 要:民国时期的教育作为中国教育早期现代化的一个重要历史阶段,在历届政府和民间力量的共同努力下,无论在推动传统教育的变革抑或在促进新式教育的成长方面,都做出了重要贡献,取得了很大的成绩。但是,毋庸讳言,由于列强入侵、政局动荡、军阀混战、内战连绵,民国时期的社会状况从根本上制约着教育发展的总体水平。无论如何,对民国时期中国教育早期现代化的成就都不宜估计过高。The education in the Republic of China has attracted great attention from different social communities in the new century. With practical feelings, people hope to get wisdom, broaden horizons, summarize experience and draw lessons by reviewing, sorting and examining the education issues in that period. Education in that period, as a key historical stage in early education modernization in China, under the joint efforts of successive governments and non-governmental forces, has made great contributions and achievements in promoting traditional education reforms and advancing new-style education. However, the social situation of that period, with the invasion from foreign powers, political turmoil, warlord fights and civil wars, undoubtedly restricted overall education development. Therefore, we should not overestimate the achievements of the early education modernization made in the period of the Republic of China.
