高低语境文化视域下的交际策略

摘　　要：美国著名的人类学家Edward Twitchell Hall在《超越文化》一书中,提出了跨文化交际学科中的一对新概念"高语境"和"低语境",并根据交际时信息传播依赖语境的程度将文化划分为高语境文化和低语境文化。文章试图研究高低语境文化的界定、转化趋势和交际特点,探寻恰当的应对策略,克服交际中的障碍,从而实现成功的跨文化交际。American famous anthropologist Edward Twitchell Hall put forward a new pair of concepts on intercultural communication in Beyond Culture—＂high context＂and ＂low context＂—and divided different cultures into the high-context culture and the low-context one according to the degree of their dependence on the context in the process of information transmission. This paper illustrates the definition of high and low context cultures,the transformation trend and the characteristics of their communication,and explores proper strategies so as to overcome communicative barriers and achieve successful intercultural communications.
